My Data Portal (MDP) is a platform that allows users to connect to various base station systems from outside of the network to which these systems are connected. This means that, as long as they have internet access, users can access their base station information from any device with a web browser, regardless of their location.
Thanks to the following features, My Data Portal is an extremely secure platform:
- HTTPS Encryption. Secure HTTPS connections with the latest encryption ciphers, ensure data transmitted between the user's browser and the base station is protected.
- Software Hardening acts as a reverse connection between the user's browser and the on-site base station.
- No Data Storage. My Data Portal does not store or record any of the system's data. It serves as a secure connection method and does not retain any information.
- My Data Portal acts like a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to allow users direct access to the base station's system without storing data.
My Data Portal offers two connection options:
1. Free Direct Connection: offers a basic functionality that allows you to access the base station's data as if you are on site.
2. Paid Account (My Data Portal) Direct Connection: This paid version allows for a direct connection to an individual site, offering more features and system access.
Key Features
- Single Access Login: access all connected sites with a single login.
- Dashboard Overview: view real-time status and current/historic alarms in a simple format.
- Site View: access real-time data in different formats, including list view, tabular view, and plan view.
- User Management: manage access to defined MDP-connected sites or groups of sites, plus limit sensor access by creating virtual sites.
- Report Generation: generate reports and graphs for sensors on single or multiple sites (coming soon).
- Alarm Notifications: receive alarm notifications via an app, email, or SMS text (coming soon).
NOTE: You will need to enable My Data Portal on your base station and grant individual users permission to access it. It is advisable to consult with your IT department before enabling My Data Portal to ensure that it aligns with your security and network policies.
